The Metanoia Foundation

Transformation Through Compassion

The purpose of The Metanoia Foundation is to serve some of the most vulnerable members of our society, young children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or are underprivileged and have faced unimaginable hardship in their earliest years. Through free psychotherapy and play therapy practices, we help them begin the journey from trauma to healing, from silence to expression, from instability to hope.

The Children We Serve

Every child deserves safety, love, and belonging when they come into the world. At The Metanoia Foundation, we are in service to children who have experienced abandonment, loss, and early trauma, offering them a path toward healing through compassion, play, and presence. The Children's Home

Formerly known as the Nairobi Children's Home, The Nairobi Children's Rescue Center,  is the sole institution responsible for providing shelter and essential care to orphaned and abandoned children aged 0-7 in Nairobi. The Center prioritizes family reintegration while also exploring alternative options like foster care.

OUR PILOT PROJECT NO.2

Education In Crisis - SUDAN

In the wake of Sudan’s brutal civil war, millions of children have seen their schools shuttered and their lives upended by displacement and relentless violence. For those gathered in makeshift classrooms and rooms without walls, the weight of trauma is a barrier far greater than any physical obstacle.

In partnership with UNICEF, the Metanoia Foundation is stabilizing the nervous systems of conflict-affected children through trauma-informed Social Emotional Learning, restoring the "felt safety" necessary for them to heal and learn amidst Sudan's crisis.
